Building relationships with youth, so they
can build relationships with Christ...

Central PA Youth Ministries Staff

Shirey Little, Director of C.P.Y.M. of Perry County, has been ministering to teens for more than 18 years.  Ten of those years have been spent volunteering as a youth leader at his church.  When the Youth Pastor approached him to consider working on staff with Central PA Youth Ministries, Shirey and his wife, Charlotte, took a step of faith and he has been on staff since February, 2000.

Together, with their daughter, Rachael, & son, Seth, they reside outside of Millerstown dedicated to having an open home for the honor & glory of God.  Through athletics & outdoor activities like kayaking, bicycle riding, hiking, football, basketball, etc, Shirey and his family seek to live out their faith, making it “real” not just as “Sunday Christians”, but in everyday living.

Shirey’s prayer is to reach out to all youths in Perry County through various outlets utilizing the school systems, outreach events, sports endeavors,  Small Groups, and other means that God will provide.

“Taste & see that the Lord is good…”

~Psalm 34:8

Mark Foor, has been involved in youth ministry as a youth leader at his church for the past 8 years.  A year ago, he started volunteering for Shirey and CPYM.  Mark heard the call of God on his life to do "something more" for sometime.  A year ago Shirey approached him about coming on staff full-time with CPYM to start a ministry in the West Perry School District and the Carson Long Military Institute.  After much prayer and many confirmations from God, Mark and his family decided to take the step of faith and follow God's will for his life.  Mark is currently raising his support to go full-time with CPYM.  He has already started ministering in both areas.

Mark resides in Newport with his wife Melissa and his two daughters, Hannah and Emily.  They are all looking forward to following the call of God, and are excited to see where He is going to lead them.

"I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands
full or hands empty.  Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it
through anything in the One who makes me who I am."
~Phillipians 4:12-13
